STEPS TO YOUR SALARY
1.) Search on our website and seek job opportunities
On "Our jobs" menu you can find our current positions to be filled. There are several filters like city or types of jobs, to find the best opportunity for you. Clicking on the job you can read details about it, and if it is sympathetic to you, you can apply for it.
2.) Register!
Applying for a job you have to fill data on the form, after that we send you a link to your given e-mail address. Please fill the form completely. You can confirm your application by clicking on the link.
3.) Keep calm and wait
After applying for a job please be patient, while my college process of your application and call you via phone or e-mail to tell you the details - wage, tasks, working time, location and what you should do. Then you will communicate with the project manager of the job.
4.) Register personally
To start work you have to come in and fill some documents in our office. You need your tax ID/tax number, your valid student card, social security number (if you have, or your passport instead of it) and HUF 1.000 membership fee in cash. Then you become member of the cooperation, we declare it to the Tax Office, and you can start work the next day.
5.) It's working time
If you registered in our office, your project manager will inform you about when and where you have to go. You have to meet the expectations and rules laid down by him/her, in order to the satisfaction of you and the cooperation. Compliance is the condition of successful job.
6.) Your salary is paid.
At work you have to fill attendance sheet. We will count your salary based on it, and transfer it on your registered bank account until 10th every month. Then you only have to enjoy the result of your work!

What is a student job agency?

Students can work legally as member of a student job agency. When our partners need student manpower, we organize it and delegate our registered members. You have to pay registration fee (HUF 1.000) to become a member, which you will be paid back when you leave cooperation.

What are the conditions of applying for jobs?

• being a student at full-time training (active or passive)
• turned 16 year (at summer break, 15)
• valid student card or student legal status certificate
• parental permission (under 18)

Be straight and loyal!

Your contract with Meló-Depó is based on mutual trust, it means that in employment you shall treat any such information and experience as confidential. In the event of problems we are available, but you may not release any information with regard to our partner where you work, you shall keep them secret from any unauthorised person and from the public.

Companies mandate Melo-Depo with the given task. Quality of work is not only qualifies the individual, but as well as Meló-Depó. So it is very important to feel the importance of your work and do exactly the job which you have undertaken. Otherwise you take away job opportunities from other candidates. Certain essential rules laid down by your project manager should be complied with strictly!

How can you confirm that you are student?

You can confirm your student legal status by a valid student card or student legal status certificate. You need to renew your membership for the next semester in February and September. For this you need a certificate of your current semester or a student ID card with your actual semester sticker. Please note: in case your membership is terminated, and you will not be able to work! If you do not renew your membership during the validation period, we will automatically delete you from our database. If you are a canceled member and would like to work again by us, you will need to sign up again.

How can you quit from the agency?

If you do not renew your membership during the validation period, we will automatically delete you from our database. In this case, you can get your 1000 HUF contribution. If you have a valid membership but you would like to quit, you need to fill in an Exit Statement. When it is approved, you can get back your 1000 HUF contribution. In case you do not have missing data, you can quit the earliest 2 months after joining us.

Do you have to pay tax after student work?

Your annual earnings at Meló-Depó always get payed in accordance with the applicable tax laws. Currently 15% personal income tax (PIT) is deducted from your gross wage. At the beginning of each year, you need to make a tax return to the NAV (Tax Office) about the income you’ve earned in the previous year. You can download the required tax certificate from our website. It is uploaded until 31 January.

You experience acquired in the cooperation can stand you in good stead. Either the partner, or the type of work can be a good reference in your CV, and bring significant advantages on the labour market. Our partners often employ workers as full time employees after working there as a student worker.
